Hindus demand apology for Mike Myers flick

The Love Guru was a floating-point operation at the cinema, but�Mike Myers is in fifty-fifty more trouble for his goofy portrait of a comical phantasmal leader.



American Hindu leaders want Myers - the star of trey Austin Powers movies - to apologise for "lampooning Hinduism" in his late box situation failure.


In The Love Guru, Myers plays Guru Maurice Pitka, a mystic wHO helps a star ice hockey player apportion with emphasis caused by his wife.


The film likewise stars Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake.


Hindu leader Rajan Zed, the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, released a statement saying an apology from Myers would "heal the wounds more or less of a disturbed Hindu populace".


"Ksama, or forgiveness, is one of the principal virtues of Hindu moral philosophy. If Mike Myers offers a genuine public apology, Hindus would not only absolve him but mightiness also beg for his success in future movies."


Contact Music reported Zed launched a protest movement against the film before its release, spurring all religious groups to boycott the film.


He claims the failure of the film is largely down to his protest campaign.


In a inspection, the New York Times said the film was "antifunny".


"(It's)�an experience that makes you marvel if you will always laugh again."�


The film grossed just US$30 million at the�US and Canadian�box office. It cost US$62 million to work.
